The Earth has traveled a distance long enough to cool down and become receptive for origination of life. Everything in the cosmic system is measured in terms of light years... the distance traveled by light in one year is known as one light year which approximately equals 9 trillion kilometers.

There are many galaxies and stars millions of light years away. There must be many galaxies and universes trillions of light years away... can a human being fathom the depth of the cosmic system ever? We as a human being must simply remember that the purpose of our soul atman manifesting a body is gaining liberation from the cycle of birth and death forever.

The form of a human being is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle. Only as a human being one gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). Never from heaven or hell can the soul atman gain liberation ever. The early we realize this truth... the better! Gaining enlightenment and salvation is the real crux of life.

Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed... all did it in their lifetime! Who knows what we shall be in the next manifestation? We have reached the manifest stage of a human being after crossing 7.3 million manifestations as insect life, plant life and animal life. What can be more soothing to the ailing mankind! Mahavira... the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism rightly said that every human being has the seed of becoming a Mahavira!

Our Cosmos is still expanding very fast... it is another trillions of years to go before the collapse of the entire cosmos occurs. When the expanding forces of the Cosmos become feeble compared to the escape velocity... the entire cosmos would collapse! What is there to worry for us! We have to simply live a sojourn of 70 to 80 years! The real truth is... it is our soul atman that has manifested the body (to work out its karma) and not otherwise.
