Query: Jainism Lord Mahavira Tirthankara... This is further to the query about Jainism
and Lord Mahavira being the last tirthankara. In one of your posts you said that Hinduism came before Jainism
and Lord Krishna came before Mahavira, but I being Jain, was told that ninth tirthankara Bhagwan Naminath was
Lord Krishna's uncle and Adinath 1st tirthankara was his great great grandfather....I am not sure of
generations, but they were related and hence Krishna belonged to tirthankara nam gotra, because of his deeds,
he is still not given the status of bhagwan even though he is very powerful and regarded as supreme power. In
the next 24 tirthankaras, Lord Krishna and Ravana will be one of the tirthankaras. Could you please clear the
confusion.
Vijay Kumar:
You must have observed in chemistry class... whenever the teacher told us
to prepare water... the numbers were awarded by the teacher only when water formed... the experiment was
complete... never before!
For formation of water... we send hydrogen and oxygen separately through
two tubes. The moment both the gases mix together... water starts trickling. For making hydrogen in the
laboratory we normally use sulphuric acid (H2SO4) and make it react with particles of
zinc.
Until the process of formation of hydrogen or oxygen... the process of forming water remains incomplete. The
examiner... the teacher is primarily concerned with the end result... the formation of water. If we succeed... we
get our marks! Whatever happens midway... is not much of concern to the examiner or the teacher.
No doubt the whole process carried marks... For the examiner or the
teacher observed how neatly we laid out the entire process and so on... but final maximum marks are reserved
for end result. This is how systems in life are governed.
In the routine course of life... it is only the end result that matters. However best the farmer may have sowed the
seeds... watered it, ploughed the field... until the yield is good... nothing else matters! In absence of the end
result... a good harvest... the entire family of the farmer may suffer... rather put to real hardships.
As per the Jainism scriptures, Lord Adinatha was the first Tirthankara...
the first sign of humanly intelligence on Mother Earth. But the jnana... the wisdom of Lord Adinatha remained
confined to Adinatha alone. The humanity was not able to decipher his teachings with the result Lord
Adinatha... the first Tirthankara of Jainism gave to humanity teachings limited to worldly life
only.
After Adinatha followed 22 more tirthankaras... and position remained the
same. The wisdom of the initial 23 Jain tirthankaras remained limited to their own self for none in the world
was competent enough to comprehend their messages.
The coming of Mahavira... the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism precipitated the wisdom to the masses. It was only in the
times of Bhagwan Mahavira... the wisdom of the ages... the wisdom of the Scriptural texts reached the masses at
large... the prime reason why Jainism is recognized by the doings of Bhagwan Mahavira... the 24th
Tirthankara!
Lord Krishna came about thousand years before Bhagwan Mahavira. The
teachings of Lord Krishna are undiluted and contain the entire essence of mankind and also the whole cosmic
system.
Right from the stage of the big bang (when God Almighty... the cluster of
all purified souls atmans in the Cosmos explodes self and Cosmos gets formed) to the stage of enlightenment
(kaivalya jnana) and further on salvation (moksha)... all is detailed in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita of
Hinduism.
The Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is without a parallel. It contains everything worth knowing on the spiritual
path. The knower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes the knower of all... crosses the world of Samsara (worldly life)
forever and becomes enlightened (gains kaivalya jnana) and finally reaches the stage of salvation
(moksha).
The Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is one single document... one single
sacred Scripture sufficient for mankind to reach the stage of enlightenment kaivalya jnana and finally
salvation moksha. If I say one, I mean it! I have realized God in my lifetime. I was born in a Jain family.
The Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism has become like ABCD to me.
Lord Krishna was not a man god... a Tirthankara! He was much above the
fold of a Tirthankara... an enlightened one! Lord Krishna was an Avatar of his era (God manifest in human
form). Every 3500 to 5000 years... the society rotates itself. Starting from the stage of Satyuga... the
society embroils itself to the stage of Kali Yuga and finally the precipitation through a renaissance... a
total upheaval... a nuclear world war!
Again the society has to lift back to its original form... its original
glory! This is made possible by the coming of an Avatar of the era (God manifest in human form). Not even a
man god like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed can achieve this feat! The world is
awaiting the coming of Bhagwan Kalki... an Avatar of the present era!
We have presently entered the ghor Kali Yuga phase of life when
relationships amongst each other have reached its lowest ebb. Trust amongst human beings almost vanished...
to revamp the society back to its pedestal... the coming of Bhagwan Kalki gets necessitated. Bhagwan Kalki...
the messiah of the present era would surface around 2012~2014.
Beyond 2014 lay the dawn of the golden era... the Satyuga... a period of
total spiritual elevation... a period of utter silence... something much beyond the comprehension of present
mankind!
Having born in a Jain family does not mean we remain limited to the wisdom contained in the Jaina scriptures. The
essence of Jaina scriptures is not in question... nor is the level of wisdom of Lord Krishna. It is for individual
human beings to realize the true essence of life.
For a serious seeker of spirituality... the uncharted spiritual path is
always traveled alone. None to guide... What to except as truth... what not to accept is the onus of every
single individual human being. Had I remained limited to the Jaina scriptures, I would have never realized
God in my lifetime. The moment I switched over to the wisdom contained in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita of
Hinduism... it was all over for me... I finally gained self realization in 1993.
The foremost of all on the spiritual path is... wisdom does not mean
gaining anything on the spiritual path. As one proceeds on the path of spirituality... it is nothing we
gain... primarily it is the dross within the soul atman that we remove. As the darkness... the ignorance
within us depletes... the light of the wisdom shines in its full glory.
Wisdom is all about shedding our ignorance forever... not gaining anything that most human beings try to gain
literally. The moment... the last stain of ignorance removes from our soul atman... it regains its original prime
pristine pure form! The moment this happens... human being is stated to have reached the stage of enlightenment
(kaivalya jnana). The Word kaivalya jnana of Jainism denotes kaivalya... jnana! Where kaivalya stands for only...
implying thereby that when only pure wisdom remains in our consciousness... our soul atman gains absolute
purity!
The essence of the Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is primary...
collectively it surpasses the wisdom contained in all the Sacred Scriptures of the world. It is not being a
Hindu or Jain... I have reached this conclusion. I have traveled the uncharted path of spirituality and
reached the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last in the cosmic life cycle!
Nowhere else to go further... I as a pure soul atman would gain entry
into the abode of God... the kingdom of God... aka Vaikunth in Hinduism. Vaikunth... the kingdom of God is a
place of no return. The soul atman having freed itself of all dross impurities within need not manifest a
body again. I have for all practical purposes become immortal.
