Query: Control of Destiny...
Kaivalya
Jnani:
Yes... every single human being
is the soul master of ones destiny! How and why? Everything in the cosmic system is governed by the doctrine of
karma... as we perform so shall we get... nothing less or more! In the domain of God there are no free lunches. All
is the result of a system that cannot err! Every single living being is the creator and master of ones
destiny!
As stated in Bhagavad Gita... the most sacred scripture of Hinduism
existing on Mother Earth... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna... every single soul atman is
absolutely independent in the cosmic system. No soul atman ever gets affected by the doings of another soul
atman. Whatever fate or destiny one faces in life... all results from the karma performed by one in the
past!
Does it mean that our karma (the deeds of the present) mould our
future... yes, the truth is so! People who take control of their life early practically manifest destiny!
Having a distinct goal and pursuing it with all eggs in one basket is the real crux of life! We may be a nice
person in the present life yet, we suffer privations all the time! All results from the karma of our past
lives... the previous manifestations!
Indulgence in the theory of destiny is possible when we believe in the
theory of reincarnation (rebirth). Unless we believe in the continuity of our soul atman manifesting life
after another... the true concept of destiny would not become clear to us.
Our soul atman is of the form of a metal sandwiched in the metal ore. As the metal within the ore cannot purify
itself on its own... the soul atman also requires a body to work out its karma... remove the dross (impurities)
within!
If we have a negative residual balance of karma from the previous
manifestations... we have no other alternative than to neutralize the same. Only then the residual balance of
karma shall become positive and we shall experience happiness most of the time!
Those with a negative balance of residual karma suffer in life most. It
is in our interest that we perform positive karma in the present manifestation to earn Punya karma
(virtues).
