Cosmic Life cycle

Neither! Most human beings living on Mother Earth never travel the spiritual path... they simply follow the dictates of religion! Yes... in a way our soul atman... the spirit within is passing through the human phase of life.

In the cosmic life cycle of a soul atman... the form of human being is the highest manifest stage. It is only as a human being the soul atman within would get liberated forever from the bondage of manifesting a life form again and again. Our soul atman starts on the cosmic journey as an amoeba (single cell formation)... the first manifestation. Subsequently it evolves into multi-cell formation, then insect life, plant life and animal life.

The journey from the form of amoeba to animal life gets completed in 7.3 million manifestations. In the human form alone we have 1.1 million manifestations (a cosmic life cycle of 12.1 million earthly years). Truly the journey is traveled by our soul atman within but it always acts as a Dhrista (onlooker)... never interfering with the affairs of the body.

The sole purpose of manifesting body after another is regaining the original pure pristine form. Only then our soul atman within liberates itself from the cycle of birth and death. The day this soul atman reaches the kingdom of God (aka Vaikunth in Hinduism)... the experience... the journey stops forever!
