Query: Become
Spiritual... Spirituality needs to be followed if we desired reaching God in present life!
Kaivalya
Jnani:
Being spiritual is practicing spirituality to the core. Spirituality does
not demand any rituals whatsoever.
Every serious seeker of spirituality must follow the dictates of Bhagavad
Gita... the most sacred scripture available on Mother Earth (the doctrine put forward by Lord Krishna in
Mahabharata). This one document... the sacred Bhagavad Gita is sufficient for one to gain enlightenment
(kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (aka moksha in Hinduism) in this very
life.
The knower of Bhagavad Gita... becomes the knower of all! Practicing
rituals was a practice of the past. In the Vedic times... when spirituality was still in its infancy... the
appeasement of gods was primarily done by sacrificing animals in the temples. In the present scientific
age... such rituals and sacrifices are not least necessary.
Spirituality is walking the jnana yoga path. In the last about 150
years... sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana... both gained self realization and reached the end
of their cosmic journey. Following the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana one can
definitely reach the highest pedestal of spiritual life.
The sacred scriptures are not to be read literally... Bhagavad Gita is
required to be understood as it was meant to be. Performing karma... the Nishakama karma way and following
the path of jnana yoga one shall ultimately reach the 8.4 millionth manifestation.
Spirituality demands highest level of truthfulness in every deed. It is
only then one takes absolute control of the five senses and the mind. Practicing absolute celibacy for a
period of 12 years and yoga, Shavasana yoga way... one finally reaches the stage of Nirvikalpa
Samadhi.
What can I do as sort of a ritual to be spiritual and connect with God?
Going to the temples, churches or mosques is not the least necessary on
the spiritual path. God Almighty is everywhere. It is also present in every living being in minuscule form as
ones soul atman within the heart. Whenever we go wrong... our soul atman within the heart prompts us on the
right path... what more would a lusting human form desire!
