If we intake a vegetarian meal... compared to the non vegetarian meal... it is much better on the spiritual path! We may eat meat available in the market... still; we never know under what circumstances the animal was killed. Killing a mother buffalo (having young siblings) and selling its meat in the market... the doer and the consumer both gets punished!
