Wisdom
and Knowledge Wisdom
is gaining knowledge about the absolute. Wisdom (aka jnana in Hinduism) is knowing
God and his system. Understanding the crux of Bhagavad Gita, sacred scriptures
of Jainism, the Buddhist scriptures, Bible and Quran is Wisdom. Gaining
different types of knowledge (it can be bookish knowledge, vocal knowledge or
any other type of knowledge) while in a school or College is termed as knowledge. All
knowledge gained helps us live this physical manifested world in a better way.
But gaining wisdom leads us directly towards the kingdom of God. This is the ultimate
reality. Gaining
knowledge does not necessarily mean gaining knowledge about the kingdom of God.
If we are to fare well in the physical manifested world... we need to gain good
knowledge of any profession to succeed. On
the contrary if we desire to gain enlightenment and finally salvation (liberation
from the cycle of birth and death forever) we need to indulge ourselves in studying
the various scriptures. Wisdom
leads us towards getting liberated from the human form once and for all. Knowledge
makes us wise to lead a happy and cheerful life in the physical manifested world. The
onus is on every human being to choose the path... whether we desire to gain ultimate
wisdom and leave this mortal world forever by gaining enlightenment and salvation
or we desire to take birth again and again on Mother Earth and enjoy life with
our love of life.
As willed by
God every human being has been given a maximum of 1.1 million manifestations in
the form of a human being and that equals approximately 12.1 million earthly years
before we finally gain enlightenment and salvation automatically. If
we desire to gain enlightenment and salvation early... we need to digest the pearls
of wisdom hidden in the various sacred scriptures of different religions. Mahavira
did that and so did Gautama Buddha. Jesus Christ also traveled the path of enlightenment
and finally salvation and so did Prophet Mohammed. Mahavira,
Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed... all were men of wisdom. In
the initial stages of their life they realized that bookish knowledge alone would
not lead them to the ultimate goal of life. Being
a success in life does not necessarily mean one is full of wisdom. A cobbler sitting
by the tree toiling hard day and night to earn his living may be much ahead of
a King on the path of wisdom. In
the house of God... it is difficult to differentiate and analyze who is a man
of wisdom other than the worldly knowledge one possesses. More on jnana here -

Knowledge
and Pleasure Most
human beings never have an urge... a thirst for knowledge! We simply seek knowledge
to get ahead in life... to earn a living! Gaining knowledge is not an end in itself...
it is simply a means to an end! Knowledge helps one gain footing in the journey
of life! Mounted with proper knowledge one reaches the desired destination...
the goal of life!

Wisdom
and Peace Yes,
it is only wisdom that is the bane of peace. Whenever two countries fight each
other... it is only a man of spiritual wisdom who can stop the war. Why?Every
wise man knows the secret of life. He truly understands that it is not the body
that is governing but our soul atman within the body being the real essence of
life. When comes the time to depart... all would be left behind!
