Due to the inherent power of evolution present in every atman soul it continues to take a body after body until it finally liberates. A time comes when all Atmans get purified & further manifestations cease to take place. Need for further manifestations gone ... the Cosmos collapses, to again become a concentrated mass not bigger than a cm and half in diameter. This concentrated mass re-explodes culminating in a Big Bang i.e. the birth of a new Kalpa, a new Cosmos all over again. This theory (i.e. the cycle of Kalpa) ... the origination and Pralaya goes on for ever.

What happens to those liberated souls after pralay? Do they have to come back to go through 8.4 million manifestation again at the time of Origination (Big Bang)?

I do not think you shall be able to fathom the depth of wisdom contained in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in Mahabharata. One needs reading in between the lines. Until we remain bogged down by the materialistic pursuits of life... no point pursuing the path of pure spirituality! The path of pure spirituality takes one away from the materialistic pursuits of life... one for all practical purposes becomes a true sanyasi (a seeker of God).

Anxiety about the system of God... the varied queries carries no meaning in the domain of God. As simple as... what purpose can one derive explaining the complex process of making of an atom bomb to a student of class one! However big the anxiety... however perplexed the student may seem... the wisdom percolates from top only at the right opportune moment.

Wisdom is not gaining something out of nowhere! Most human beings never tend to understand the true meaning of wisdom. Wisdom is never gained by reading the Scriptural texts. The sacred scriptures... the wisdom hidden in the sacred scriptures only help remove our ignorance. As the ignorance... the dross within the soul atman depletes... the soul atman tends to gain a higher level of purity... a better level of consciousness.

The moment complete dross within the soul atman removes... the human being is said to have gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana).
