Query: Kundalini Awakening... My kundalini awakened, But it did not reach Sahasrara chakra. It was blocked at Manipura chakra. By God's Grace, my blockage was cleared year ago. Later on I found out that I was bothered by some dead people. These connections existed even before my kundalini awakened. Now they (dead people) disturbs my meditation/kriya yoga (I practise methods of SRF/YSS founded by Paramahansa Yogananda). Can you please advise or help when these dead people go away from me and I continue my meditation/kriya yoga.

Do not play with Kundalini. You may hurt yourself in the process. Awakening of Kundalini is the path... never a goal of life! By awakening our Kundalini fully... one reaches the stage of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed! For all practical purposes... the moment Kundalini gets awakened... one becomes an enlightened one!

In whatever stage of Kundalini opening you may be... always remember... the process of Kundalini awakening is linked to following the path of absolute truthfulness in daily life. Remaining absolute truthfully in daily life is extremely difficult yet, not impossible! It is this ingredient of truthfulness that makes the path of Kundalini awakening difficult.

Do not fool yourself by indulgence in rituals. There is nothing like souls of dead people disturbing one. In the cosmic system no single soul atman can disturb the other. Every soul atman is independent of each other. It is when souls atmans take the garb of a human being... manifest the human form... troubles arise!

Dominated by a bloated ego... wanton desires and greed for materialistic riches... most human beings fail on the path of absolute truthfulness. Only serious seekers of spirituality continue the path of absolute truthfulness! Furthermore... practicing celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years is another essential ingredient for full awakening of the Kundalini.

Unless one practices voluntary celibacy for a continuous minimum period of 12 years in a go... the Kundalini can never get awakened fully. It is only by preserving the special quota of energy given by God Almighty to every human being month after month... one rises higher on the spiritual platform!

Practicing absolute celibacy is another difficult step on the path of Kundalini awakening. Easy said but extremely difficult to practice... more so in a world full of glamour and vices! Unless we channelise the hidden power of semen to more creative uses... the awakening of the Kundalini always remains a dream!

If you seriously desire full awakening of the Kundalini... forget about souls of dead people disturbing you. The process of meditation termed yoga in Hindi is the path followed by serious seekers of spirituality. Meditation is also not an end in itself. The effort of the soul atman trying to merge with mighty atman (God Almighty himself) is termed yoga nee meditation!

Following the spiritual path is not a ritual. The process of Neti helps reduce the dross... impurities within the soul atman! Lying in the Shavasana pose of yoga... practicing Neti... one slowly proceeds towards gaining enlightenment in present life. In the process... our Kundalini awakens unknowingly!

The moment complete dross... impurities within the soul atman remove... Kundalini having awakened fully... the Shahastra Pushpa (thousand petalled Lotus) within the brain located behind the forehead opens up fully! One finally reaches the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... the stage of nothingness when one can have a dialogue with God Almighty on one-to-one basis and that too permanently.

In my life, I was never after Kundalini awakening! The word Kundalini was absolutely unknown to me. In my search for God almighty... my Kundalini awakened fully unknowingly. I gained self realization at 37 years of age. It was only few years before my gaining self realization... I truly understood the meaning of Kundalini.

Only when many hooded Cobra stared me head-on... did I realize I was facing my Kundalini energy... the coiled Serpentine energy that remains settled in the spine unless one tries to uncoil it by practice of celibacy (Brahmacharya Vrata). Facing my Kundalini energy was the darkest hour of my spiritual pursuit.

I simply can never forget those experiences when facing the Cobra head-on... I many times fell down from the bed I slept on. Many a times I shifted my bed to my mothers' room... it really was too scary to sleep alone. With bulldog determination that I meet God in this very life, I continued my spiritual pursuit... come whatever may!

At this stage of life... we need to form a definite goal of life! What after all are we after... the Kundalini awakening or self realization! Self realization is a goal and Kundalini awakening... the path! The moment you have a settled goal of life... it would not be difficult for you to awaken your Kundalini early!
