The soul atman of a human being is pure cosmic energy. It is indestructible... it can neither be created nor destroyed. It simply manifests a body depending upon the residual balance of karma. In itself soul does not carry anything. It is the doctrine of karma that is governing. From one manifestation to another... the residual balance of karma moves on.

The balance sheet of life moves in a manner similar to the balance sheet prepared by a chartered accountant. Whatever is the closing balance... becomes the opening balance of the next year. Whatever be the residual balance of karma of the present manifestation... our soul atman gets the next manifestation accordingly. If the balance of karma demands that one be born in the house of a laborer... it just cannot be that one takes birth in the house of a king.

Everything in encoded form gets transferred to the next manifestation through the complex structure of chromosomes and DNA.

The complex theory of karma has some pitfalls. Even though the residual balance of karma transfers to the next manifestation... some types of sins and virtues do not fructify immediately. This result in one winning a lottery in one of next manifestations provided one has a balance of virtues in-store. A negative balance may result in certain doom in one of the next manifestations. It is this doom or being lucky that disturbs many.

Define Soul

Define Soul Spirit
The soul and the spirit mean the same. The soul atman is of the form of pure cosmic energy! The spirit within every human being... the soul atman within our heart is God Almighty in minuscule form... the essence of all being the same! To remove the dross within (impurities within) every soul atman manifests a cycle of 8.4 million manifestations to work out its karma. It is our soul atman that has manifested the body and not vice versa.

Reincarnation of Soul
I not only believe that our soul atman lives on after the death of the body... I am practically a living example of that! Having realized God in 1993... I reached the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! This is my last life as a soul atman! Having gained absolute purity I have nowhere else to go but to the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism). I have reached the Mount Everest of my spiritual pursuit!
