Being
Spiritual As
a human being we have two facets of life. One pursuing the physical manifested
itself... the physical body that lives for approximately 70 to 80 years and the
other our real self... our soul the atman within that exists within our heart. The
ultimate crux of life is... our soul atman within our heart is the owner of the
body and it is this soul atman that has manifested the body and not vice versa.
The ego within every human being always tries to contradict this statement but
the absolute truth can never be belied. If
we need to live our physical manifested life... the sojourn of 70 to 80 years
peacefully and without much hindrance... we need follow the path of religion.
And religion is best taught by Ramayana (the famous Indian epic)! Following the
dictates of Rama (maryada Purushotham Rama as he is popularly called) one can
live the present life to its best. However
if one desires venturing into the domain of our inner self... the world of 8.4
million manifestations... one needs traveling the path of spirituality. It is
spirituality that teaches one the path to enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally
salvation (moksha).
Following the
path of spirituality means trying to reach the end goal of life... the 8.4 millionth
manifestation at the earliest! It is Bhagavad Gita and Bhagavad Gita alone that
gives the gist of spirituality from A-Z. And what is Bhagavad Gita? The most sacred
document in Hinduism... Bhagavad Gita is the doctrine given to mankind by Lord
Krishna in the battle of Mahabharata. Being
Spiritual?Bhagavad
Gita enumerates the benefits that accrue to every spiritual seeker and also defines
the path (the uncharted territory) that has to be traveled by every individual.
The knower of Bhagavad Gita becomes the knower of all... one finally gains enlightenment
in the end. Essay

Guidance Guidance
in matters spiritual... where to find it! At 11 years of age I finalized my goal
of life... I had to search God in this life come whatever may. At 13 years of
age my desire had converted into absolute conviction.I
wanted a spiritual guide... I got none. I ventured all over my country but found
none to guide me. Hordes of religious teachers but spiritual master none. I tried
my best but failed. In exasperation I requested God Almighty to send an angel
to guide me... I kept waiting but it was nowhere in sight!

Spirituality
not Religion To
be spiritual... is following the path of God. Religion is a ritual... a following!Spirituality
provides Inner peace... religion outer happiness! Spirituality
is understanding the truth of our soul atman within our heart. Religion is living
peacefully amongst the community. Spirituality
is reading the Bhagavad Gita and assimilating the pearls of wisdom therein. Religion
is going to the temples, churches or mosque and praying to God. Whether you get
anything in return is not the question. It is simply abiding by the dictates of
the elders.

Experience I
had one of the best spiritual experiences... the personal experience of coming
face to face with God Almighty on one-to-one basis. It was an experience that
can never be explained in words. When
I was 11 years of age I had a very strong conviction of experiencing God in this
life. Another two years to go... my conviction had turned into a burning goal
of life. Come whatever may... I shall face God Almighty in this very life.

life is best lived having absolute faith in the system of God. I have observed
many people world over doing their part... the daily prayers, religiously going
to the places of worship like churches, temples and mosques but to what avail!
Having hundred percent faith in God Almighty... The basic ingredient on the path
to spirituality was missing in most! | |
